Whether you need help accessing education, finding and keeping the right job, developing your career, or you want to get healthy and well, we are here for you.

Gaining the right skills and education

We can support with education– our network of schools and academies in the north west and the Midlands is there to help pupils achieve their ambitions and grow their knowledge and skills. 

Having the right skills can make all the difference to improving life chances, employability and progression. No matter how old you are, whether you’re working or having a career break, we can help you develop, do an apprenticeship or traineeship or get an Advanced Learner Loan to help with the cost of further studies. 

If you are looking for the right education for your children, we can also help with school and university search, and provide guardianship to your children when they are far away from home.  


Feeling healthy and well

Mental and physical health conditions can have a big impact on your life and sometimes even the simplest tasks can seem too much. Our health and wellbeing team will help you will feel motivated and confident again. We can help you find the right social activities, get physically active or access professional support. And we know all about different ways to make everyday living more accessible. So if you need practical advice and guidance on equipment to help you or your family member live independently, you’ve come to the right place.

Finding the right job in a competitive market after a career break, when you have limited skills or experience or when your confidence isn’t at its peak, can be a real challenge. If you’re not sure where to look for the opportunities, need help with your CV and interview practice or would like to explore a new sector, we can help you navigate around so you find the right path to a rewarding job. Whether you’re entering the job market for the first time or are an experienced senior executive, we will get you your dream career.

We are always looking for extra pairs of hands – have you considered joining one of our volunteering programmes? You will gain valuable work experience, develop your skills, become more confident, all while giving something back to your local community. We have got a wealth of opportunities on offer to suit your interests and skills – from giving your time in one of our 50 shops, mentoring others to help them find a job to sharing your life experience with students at our schools.  



By shopping in one of our 50 stores across the UK or in our eBay shop you will help raise money to support the work we do in our local communities. Or you can visit one of our horticulture social enterprises which provide meaningful work for disabled people and community support, where you can buy plants, wood  furniture and relax over a cup of coffee.
